Blink of an Eye

Scribblers Arena

Looking back

on a life that has passed,

left wondering

why it went so fast.

Gone within

the blink of an eye,

now your

left to sit and sigh.

Not enough

time to count your regrets,

more than enough

for what you wish to forget.

Would it be different

if you had another chance,

or is there no way

it could have been enhanced.

Time will

wait for no soul

but it

designates what is your role.

The sweet nothings!

Wings of an albatross,

Spread your might like one,

Avoid the dusty old carpet in you,

Stop rolling in and out,

Rub your feet in the sand,

Have a little toe fight,

Hear the waves calling you,

Hold hands with the horizon,

Make love to your infinity,

The stargaze may not last,

But,

It’ll return, with a promise!
